About Massage Therapy and Absolute Body Care
What You Need to Know About Us, Massage Therapy, and what to Expect at Your Visit
We’re Absolutely Here for You
Who We Are
We are a group of Massage therapists who have intentionally trained to excel in orthopedic assessment and treatment of complicated injuries and pain management. We strive to treat every patient with careful consideration of the needs of each individual. We also believe that a deep relaxation massage has tremendous value as well. We combine the techniques of relaxation massage with orthopedic treatment, because we believe that the more one can relax, the less resistive the patients’ tissue is to treatment. In other words… It DOESN’T have to hurt to heal.
Our goal is that you walk out better than you walked in. We also work in tandem with one another, and often with other medical professionals. If it is necessary to communicate with a physician or physical therapist in order to contribute to a comprehensive treatment, then we are happy to do that. Whether your expectations are for an incredible and uniquely individualized massage, or for therapeutic treatment for pain or injury, we will do the very best we can as we continuously strive to learn, and utilize the best and newest techniques in body work.
Meet the Team

Roberta has been practicing the art of massage therapy since 2001. She has been intentional about seeking to learn from the best continuing education providers in the areas of orthopedic and neuromuscular techniques .. Her training includes: the treatment of complicated injuries, fibromyalgia, pain management, neuropathy pain, TMJ, and laryngeal massage (for vocal cord dysfunction) . Some of the techniques she uses are AIS (Active Isolated Stretching), Medical cupping, myofascial, and neuromuscular.
She is also a team member for The Center of Vocal Excellence, on the advisory board for the School of Massage at Pensacola State College, as well as being an adjunct professor of Anatomy and Physiology. She had the honor of being asked to participate as a board member of the Massage Therapy Curriculum Committee for the state of Florida Department of Health (2016). Her approach to body work is founded on the principle that the less resisted that the body/tissue is, the more it is able to be manipulated. So, relaxation techniques are almost always a part of the treatment protocol.

Daniel is a Pensacola native, having graduated from Fortis Institute’s Massage Therapy Program. He’d experienced sports massage from an early age and already had a bit of familiarity going into the profession, so upon enrollment in massage school he found himself a natural fit for it.
While in school he’d been trained in swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, pre/post event sports massage and various other modalities. While he can provide top notch “fluff” work through a combination of deep swedish, breathe work instruction and mindfulness techniques, his favorite work is orthopedic massage dealing with pain management.
You may hear him say “The goal of the massage therapist is to provide better quality of life through pain management and stress relief”, and he stands by that with his work. Not too keen on inflicting pain to relieve pain, he’s somewhat sparse on elbow work unless necessary and instead prefers the use of knuckles, flat palms and myofascial techniques to release deep tension without the use of excessive pressure.
